I am a collector of vintage clothing and accessories! When I see something at a vintage shop that strikes an idea for a photo shoot, i have to have it. That is what happened when i found this vintage wedding dress. I pictured a winter bridal shoot as seen in the images below. I am originally from Michigan, so when I came “home” for a late Christmas a couple months ago, I brought the dress along and had a little fun! Serena, the model, is a friend, she has never even modeled before but did an incredible job, expecially since it was in the freezing cold. I mean FREEZING. We couldn’t even stay out in the wind and cold for more than 5 minutes without having to jump back in the car and unthaw, it was an adventure for sure. I feel like all my shoots are a little adventure… I guess I like to be difficult, but it’s all worth it in the end. I’ve been waiting years to take these images, the look was finally accomplished with Serena (now future model) and the help of the talented makeup artist, Julie Strating.
